Other Miscellaneous things: Did you know? Featured in the club logo is the rampant lion, a symbol more commonly seen in red on a yellow background rather than a blue one. The rampant Lion is something of a much beloved unofficial flag of Scotland accompanying the Cross of St. Andrew and dates back to the 12th century. It was under the reign of King William I, "the Lion of Scotland" that it was first used as the king's heraldic standard. Sadly there were no more lions in 12th century Scotland than there are today.
Joke of the Week: After their enthusiastic new striker failed to perform, the club asked his mates "I thought you said he eats, sleeps and breathes football?". "He does, but we never said he could play it" Q. How many Frenchman does it take to defend a city? A. I couldn't tell you, it's never been tried. So far there's been a pretty underwhelming response for this segment of the website, but please don't be discouraged from sending in your best jokes. If you've got a great joke (about anything that isn't too offensive) to share, send it in to larkins@iinet.net.au and if it's good enough it may well become the featured joke of the week. Even if it's not that great, it can't be any worse than the ones put above to get the ball rolling.
