Old News: This where the news that is no longer new or useful comes to rest... 14/03/06 - Regarding The First Division for 2006:
It is with deep regret that I have to
advise the members of Bassendean Caledonian Soccer Football Club Inc that we
have been forced to withdraw our nomination from Football West for a team to
compete in the 2006 season.
This has come about through the persistent
rumours, smear campaigns and innuendos which have resulted in our inability
for recruitment of players. In the club's 94 year illustrious history it has
never happened before that we have not been able to fill a Saturday side.
THE COMMITTEE STRESSES VERY STRONGLY THAT
OUR DOORS WILL NOT BE CLOSED NOW, OR IN THE FUTURE, as we are still
fielding teams in Masters, Ladies (two teams) and for our approximately 200
Junior players.
It is a truly sad day in the history of the
"Callies" - BUT we will be back with a force in the near
future.

01/03/01 - Urgent Request for Players (Cancelled) Want to play First Division on a Saturday in the Football West Semi Pro League and haven't yet got a club? Bassendean Caledonians, "Callies" are currently looking for players to join their first division team, reserves and under eighteens. If Interested please give Allan Weir a call on 0417 919 370 or alternately ring the club on 9377 1070. Training is at 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Jubilee Reserve, Northmoor Road in Eden Hill, 6054 (click here for the map). The Callies are still on the map, so come and support the oldest club in Perth! 2/2/06: Problem Solved? The problems with viewing the side links should be pretty well ironed out now...
